For example, if you’re going fishing in shallow water, you want a boat that has a hull that can take scrapes from underwater debris like rocks or tree trunks, or that is light enough to cruise over that debris without scraping it. Look for a flat bottom boat - these tend to do a better job of avoiding debris, but they can be a little rough if you’re in choppier water. Alternately, a vee hull will help smooth out the ride, but you’ll need more power.
